Sorry, since 25.02.2003 there is only Linux (X11) version of the Accelerator Status Display program available.

It is now possible to have access to the accelerator control system from any PC running Win95 or WinNT.
The access is performed through a Gateway with the name ACS-GATEWAY.
Basically one can access the control system either with read access only or with read/write access.
Actually a DLL is provided to perform the access with SUN-RPC.
The actual distribution kit contains this DLL, as well as the ONCRPC.DLL used for the RPC.
The actual distribution contains the files necessary for using LABVIEW as well as an example showing the Target E kollimator currents.
To be noted is that per LabviewVI a maximum of 60 parameters is possible.
Data reading is basically allowed to anybody, with the restriction that one has to be announced to the PSI accelerator control group.
Also write access can be allowed, but this can only be allowed after a discussion about the exact needs.
To achieve a fair performance it is necessary to group the parameters in one call.
This is done by using a trigger in the Labview VI (trigger 0 for constructing the buffer, trigger 1 for executing it).
The DLL also contains some routines to access the control system from VB++ or from C++.
An Example showing the use of the VB++ routine is given in the distribution kit.
The implementation for C++ is similar to the implementation in our Controlsystem, so that actual C programs can be implemented more easily.
In order to use this implementation, please contact one of the members of the PSI accelerator control group.
Remark: The device names used for the data acquisition are described in
ACS Devices
The Accelerator logging (archival) data are also freely available without any restriction.
All the data are recorded every 10 minutes 1 minute, or even 5 seconds (ex. All beam currents).
Software Download
Linux - valid since 27.01.2008
psiview-linux.exe
Simple Multicast receiver source code
DoesItComeMC.tgz
Get Data Acquisition software (Win95 & WinNT).
Some devices have been removed beginning of 2006 (because of dismantled GANTRY1 beamline, now part of PROSCAN) ACS Devices until 2006.
As of May 2006 there is a new version, Logging Retrieval software (WinXP).
It contains a working Microsoft Access (MS Ver. 2002 was tested) database example. One can reuse the
same Access-Basic code in any other Visual-Basic compatible product (like VisualBasic or Excel-Basic).
Simply unpack the downloaded zip file in any directory. Copy (or move) the supplied *.DLL files to your WINDOWS directory (usualy C:\WINDOWS).
